Mr. Schoceer moved approval. Mrs. Schuman seconded the <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner thanked Ms. Edler and Ms. S~ for their c~Lments, ~aaing that <br />there are much worse stories to be told about this situatic~ than were b~vd <br />earlier. He said the City m~-~t do all it can to help this neighborhood. <br /> <br />,Mr. Adams arrived at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said a final c~rcmise of the earlier o~Lu~se ~n the sales <br />tax redistribution formula in St. L~-~ County has been reached. She said it <br />will he deba~ by the State Legislature this week and hopefully, by tha next <br />meeting, it will he known if University City and the other pool cities will <br />receive a fa~er share of the sales tax than they do now. She not~5__ that ef- <br />forts have been uraer way since 1982 to try to make the fom~]a more equi- <br />table. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff and Councilmember Wagner not~ that Mayor Majerus has been one <br />of the l~ders in this effort and all thanked her for her hard work in trying <br />to bring about this much ne~aed change. Mr. Schoumer added that former Mayor <br />Mooney was c~e of the first to call attentic~ to the unfairness of the sales <br />tax situation many years ago. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus adjourned the meeting at 9:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Dolores A.
