SESSION 1583 <br /> <br />M OF THE UNIVERSEEY c~'l'~ COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 11, 1993 <br /> <br />At a rec3ular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the As- <br />sembly Roce of City Hall c~ Mc~day, Jamm~y 11, 1993, Mayor Janet Majerus <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following menhers of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mrs. Mary V. SCNmmn <br /> <br />Absent: Counci~ Betty L. Thumpeon. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, <br />the City will furnish an interpreter for the deaf at Council meetings if the <br />request is made to the Assistant City Manager at least 24 hours in advance. <br /> <br />Noting the inequity in sales tax a~.~tributic~ in St. Louis County, Mayor Ma- <br />jerus said Council is asked to appIxI~e a resoluticm in support of County Ex- <br />ecutive Westfall's proposal to reform the sales tax distribution. ~he City <br />Clerk read the resolution, which is attached and made a part of the record. <br /> <br />Mr. Schocmer moved adoption by acclamation. Mr. ~a~ seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman felt most State legislators Rnow where University City stands on <br />this issue, however, if citizens have questions about the proposal, she would <br />encourage then to call their councilmembers for information and to write or <br />call their state legislators immediately, and u~ge their neighbors to do the <br />same. She said this matter is very iz~ortant to University City. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved approval of the December 14, 1992 minutes as submitted.
