Mayor Majerus said if the p~upceed changes are made, owners of <br />small trucks with no off-street parkin~ will be eligible to purchase a permit <br />allowing the~n to park on the street. Appllmhle bills will be introduced on <br />Jar~a~y 25 and he eligible for approval c~ Febrotary 8. <br /> <br />Mr. A1 Klevorn, 5428 Fletcher, asked how lc~g the truck parking ordinance has <br />been in effect, and Mayor Majerus said it has been at l~t 20 years. Mrs. <br />Schuman noted that the p~uposed c~ do not include eltering the provision <br />prohibiting trucks f~ULL parking on public streets on Sunday. Mayor Majerus <br />said perhaps it might he possible to include that in one of the bills. <br /> <br />Ms. Karen Noss, 7143 Pershing, said she c~L~lained to Council at the October <br />19 meeting about airplane noise due to overflights f~a~ Lanlbert Airport, and <br />also submitted copies of two letters which said University City was impacted <br />by the F-4 Plan. She said she had asked that the City Manager or City Engi- <br />neer attend monthly airport meetings to discuss this matter, adding that Uni- <br />versity City will get even more noise if the rur~ay is d~nged. She said <br />County Executive Westfell's plan ellows University City to be represented in <br />the meetings, and it is in~_rative to show interest in what is happening at <br />the airport. She started a group called U.City Against Noise (UCAN) and will <br />continue to fight the F-4, and for involvement and representation. She asked <br />for a decision on whetbar a City representative would attend the meetings. <br /> <br />Mr. James Roberson, 7521 Lynn, said he ura~stocd Council refused to give a <br />beer license to the North and South Market, 1523 North and South.
