Session 1778 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Mamh 20,2000 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall on Monday, March 20, 2000, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order <br />at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager, Mr. Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the regular session minutes from March 6, 2000. Ms. <br />Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - PUBLIC HEARING: UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS #2 IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff stated that a public hearing has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. this date and <br />place to hear comments on the proposed street, curb, and sidewalk improvement in the <br />6900 block of Washington and the proposed assessments to pay the cost thereof. <br />Following the hearing the next step is adoption of a resolution to proceed with the project. <br />Mr. OHendorff recommends approval at this time so that we can proceed with taking bids <br />for the required work on a timely basis in conjunction with other City construction <br />contracts. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams opened up the public hearing at 7:33 p.m. Being that there were no <br />requests to speak, Mayor Adams closed the public hearing at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff replied that the costs for street resurfacing <br />and poor curbing are spread across the entire block on a front footage basis. The driveway <br />approaches that are badly broken up and sections of bad sidewalk are being assessed <br /> <br /> <br />
