<br />Mr. Hamilton made a motion to postpone consideration of the agenda item and recommended <br />that staff arrange a joint meeting between the HPC and Traffic Commission to address <br />Commission roles related to this project. The motion was seconded by Ms. Marin. <br /> <br /> Discussion <br /> <br /> <br />-Mr. Lai reminded the HPC members that each Commission has different roles and City Council <br />would be making the final decision after hearing the perspectives from the different <br />Commissions. <br /> <br />-HPC members and staff discussed the suggestion for the joint meeting between HPC and Traffic <br />Commission and that it should be a non-voting meeting to discuss the roles of each Commission. <br />Each Commission would still make recommendations under their own purview. <br /> <br />-It was stated that recommendations had been made already in May and a special session <br /> <br /> <br /> approved unanimously. <br /> <br /> Discussion <br /> <br />It was stated that while this area was a historic site, it was also an unsafe intersection so safety <br />issues were important, but should be left to the designers. <br /> <br />4. Other Business <br /> a. Public Comments <br /> There were no further public comments. <br /> <br />5.
