<br />Questions / Comments and Discussion <br /> <br /> <br />-Commission members discussed the proposed outdoor seating and the current ratio of <br />restaurants vs. retail businesses in The Loop. Mr. Greatens stated that among ground floor <br />tenant spaces there were 33 restaurants and 50 non-restaurant businesses. <br /> <br />-Commission members expressed concern about the multitude of restaurants in The Loop <br />and what it meant for the future. It was stated that it was perhaps market driven, yet was a <br />trend to be aware of as The Loop also needed service and retail businesses to be viable. <br />Staff added that the subject could be addressed in the Comprehensive Plan Update. <br /> <br />Public Comments <br /> <br /> <br />-There were no comments from the public. Ms. Moran closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Salamon to approve the Conditional Use Permit with conditions in <br />Attachment B of the Staff Report. Discussion Plan Commission monthly meeting time in 2015 <br /> <br />The Vice-Chairperson stated that at April 23, 2014 Plan Commission meeting, the Commission <br />members discussed changing the meeting start time to 6:30 pm. <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that the calendar had not been completed and there would still be time to add a <br />revised time to the 2015 calendar. <br /> <br />Questions / Comments and Discussion <br /> <br /> <br />-Reasons for changing the start time were discussed, including City staff hours, potential for <br />lengthy meetings, and consistency with City Council meetings and other City Boards and <br />Commissions. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Salamon to change the Plan Commission meeting time to 6:30 pm <br />beginning in January 2015. The motion was seconded by Ms. Williams and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7.b.
