Session 1787 <br />June 19, 2000 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8470 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2.62 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO THE POLICE AND FIREFIGHTER'S RETIREMENT SYSTEM, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 2.62.050, RELATING TO CONTRIBUTIONS FROM <br />MEMBERS GENERALLY, AND SECTION 2.62.150, RELATING TO <br />RETIREMENT BENEFITS GENERALLY - SCHEDULE, AND ENACTING NEW <br />SECTIONS 2.62.050 AND 2.62.150; SO AS TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION <br />OF BASE SALARY, AND INCREASE THE MONTHLY BENEFIT TO CERTAIN <br />RETIREES WHO RETIRED PRIOR TO JULY 1, 1999, BY FORTY DOLLARS <br />($40) EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2000. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. AYES: Ms. <br />Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mayor Adams. <br />NAYS: none. Bill No. 8470 was approved unanimously and became Ordinance <br />No. 6250. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8471 - FIXING DEFERRED COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO <br />CERTAIN EMPLOYEES FROM AND AFTER JULY 1, 2000. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved adoption. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion. The roll call vote was <br />as follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt and <br />Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill Number 8471 passed and became Ordinance 6251. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8473 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2.68 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO MISCELLANEOUS ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 2.68.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO FEES FOR USE OF <br />CITY AMBULANCE SERVICE, AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 2.68.020; <br />SO AS TO INCREASE THE BASE FEE FROM THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY <br />DOLLARS ($350) TO FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($400) AND THE FEE FOR <br />CERTAIN ADDITIONAL SERVICES FROM SIXTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($65) TO <br />SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($75), AND SO AS TO IMPOSE A FEE OF SIX <br /> <br /> <br />
