Session <br />June 5, <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />1786 <br />2000 <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING DEFERRED COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO <br />CERTAIN EMPLOYEES FROM AND AFTER JULY 1, 2000. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8471. <br /> <br />3. An EMERGENCY bill was introduced by Mr. Schoomer, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT OF A TRACT OF <br />LAND TO BE KNOWN AS LOTS 10-14 OF BLOCK 2 OF NEW DELMAR <br />HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION AND LOCATED AT 519-535 NORTH AND SOUTH <br />BOULEVARD, THEREBY APPROVING THE CREATION OF A CONDOMINIUM <br />FORM OF OWNERSHIP OF THE PROPERTY; CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br />CLAUSE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8472. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked Mark Manlin, proponent of the properties listed in the bill to come up <br />and Council questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman said that he had heard from tenants in the buildings at the 505 and 515 <br />buildings that there were some problems with the buildings and that they were having <br />trouble getting in contact with people in Mr. Manlin's office to correct them. Mr. Manlin <br />said that his office has dealt with these problems as best as they have been able. They <br />have been attentive to the tenants and their problems. He has been meeting with Mr. <br />Walker and an inspector from the City Planning department along with a couple of the <br />tenants about some window problems. With new development projects like this, many <br />maintenance issues come up and they are attempting to resolve as quickly as possible. Mr. <br />Manlin said that he is doing his best to attend all of the condominium meetings to address <br />concerns of the tenants. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. <br />Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel and <br />Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill No. 8472 was approved and became Ordinance <br />No. 6249. <br /> <br /> <br />
