Session 1785
June 3, 2000

AGENDA #14 - DEVELOPMENT ACCEPTABLE FOR SMITH HARDWARE SITE:

The City Manager stated that the only development that would be acceptable is pedestrian
oriented retail or a restaurant/entertainment activity. They are very supportive of Craft
Alliance's need for more room for gallery space.

AGENDA #15- USE OF CITY PERSONNEL AND RESOURCES FOR INDIVIDUAL
COUNCILMEMBER'S PUBLIC ACTIVITIES:

This item was discussed with Agenda #5.

AGENDA #16 - MEMORIAL DAY RUN WRAP UP:

Mr. Rose reported on the highly successful Memorial Day Run. He believes with the right
sponsor, this event can pay for itself. It was felt that the non-profits for which this run
benefitted should provide more support if they want future help from this event. Home
Depot funding and volunteers as well as the coordination efforts of Fleet Feet Sports made
this event very successful and the hope is that we are as lucky next year. A meeting will be
held shortly to determine the needs for the next run and who the organizers will be, since
Linda Ballard has indicated that she will not be able to spend any more time with this
event in the future.

AGENDA #17 - SCHEDULE NEXT STUDY SESSION:

The next study session was set for October 21, 2000 at 9 a.m. in the Library Boardroom.

ADJOURNMENT:

Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 12:40 p.m.

/

ha K.
