BILL NUMBER 1232. <br /> ORDINANCE NUMBER 1156. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING UNITED RAILWAYS COMPANY OF ST. <br /> LOUIS, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS , TO OCCUPY WITH ITS <br /> STREET RAILWAY TRACKS THE CENTRAL TWENTY-FIVE FEET OF <br /> KINGSLAND AVENUE BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN LINE. OF VERNON <br /> AVENUE AND THE SOUTHERN LINE OF VERNON PLACE SUBDIVISION <br /> IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI , AND TO CONSTRUCT <br /> CURBING ON EACH SIDE THEREOF, UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS. <br /> WHEREAS Kin land imenue in 'the°'�i�'a of°��'ive�s� <br /> 8,e ` <br /> City, Missouri, has been laid out and established between the <br /> northern line of Delmar Boulevard and the southern line of <br /> Vernon Place Subdivision as a public highway eighty feet wide; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , United Railways Company of St. Louis , its <br /> successors and assigns , were , under the authority of ordinance <br /> No. 563 of the City of University City, Missouri , approved <br /> February 24, 1920, granted permission to occupy the central <br /> twenty-five feet of Kingsland Avenue aforesaid, from a point <br /> _=one hundred and seventy-five (175) feet north of the northern E, <br /> 1Ine of'De1mar Boulevard to the southern line of Vernon Place <br /> Subdivision, under the terms and conditions therein set forth; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Kingsland Avenue between the southern line <br /> of Vernon Avenue and the southern line of Vernon Place Sub- <br /> division is a public highway sixty feet in width; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City is desirous <br /> of hewing Kingsland Avenue of uniform width and appearance: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD.
