Section 4. Assessments for benefits against private <br /> ^roperty within the limits of the Lenefit assessment or Taxing <br /> District as described by this Crdinance shall be a lien from the <br /> date on which judgment shall have been rendered by the Circuit <br /> Court, St . i,Quis County, Missouri . and shall attach to the several <br /> lots or parcels of land so assessed for the Benefits , as aforesaid , <br /> and the said lien shall continue against each lot or parcel of <br /> ground assessed, until the assessment against such lots or parcels <br /> of ground have been paid in full, both principal and interest. <br /> Section 5. The said assessments shall be made in one pay- <br /> ment and shall bear interest at the rate of eight (8%) per cent <br /> per annu*, fifteen (15 ) days after the date of the judgment, mak- <br /> ing the said assessment , is entered. Upon the collection of the <br /> assessment , the City shall pay the same into the Court for the use <br /> of the persons in whose favor they shall have been collected, or <br /> who may be lawfully entitled to same, as provided by law. <br /> Section 6. When judgment has been rendered by the Court <br /> on the report of the Commissioners assessing damages and benefits <br /> under this Ordinance, the City Collector shall proceed to collect <br /> the benefits according to law. The said Assessment so collected <br /> shall be kept by the City Collector in a special fund solely for <br /> the payment of land taken for the establishment of said public <br /> alley aforesaid. <br /> Section 7. The City of University City, through its proper <br /> officers may advance any portion of the amount of damages so awarded <br /> for payment into Court , as provided by law out of the available <br /> funds of the General Revenue Pund of the said City, and the said <br /> city shall reimburse itself for such sum or sums advanced from the <br /> Benefits assessed when the same are collected. <br /> Section 8. _',e Commissioners appointed by the Circuit <br /> Court shall receive rive (45.00) Dollars per diem as full compensa- <br /> tion for their services as such Commissioners, to be paid by the <br /> City upon proper warrants , approved by the Iiayor and Board of Alder- <br /> men of said City. <br /> Section 9. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br /> force from and after its assage and approval by the " ayor. <br /> Passed this day of February, A. D. 1928. <br /> Ac ing _ -yor. and.
