In approving the uses referred tO in this section~ the com- <br />mission ST._All have authority to impose such conditions as it deem <br />necessary tO protect the best interest of the surrounding property <br />or neighborhood and the comprehensive zoni~ plan. <br /> <br />Authority of council upon approving or disapproving decision of <br />commission. In passing upon any decision of the commission, the city <br />council may consider the record and such addition~l evidence as may <br />he offered and may affirm, reverse or modify~ in whole or in part, <br />the order, requirerant, decision~ determination~ interpretation or <br />ruling ~-_~er consideration, or make n._a substitute such other or <br />additional decision or determination as it may find warranted under <br />the provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />Section 2002.~. Accessory building and private parking area in "R" <br /> districts: <br /> <br />In All "R" districts an accessory building or a private parking area <br />eh~l 1 be subject to the following requirements: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />It phil1 be located on the rear half of the lot, except that in large <br />scale housing projects parking areas in the form of parking bays may <br />be permitted in front of the main buildings if the location and arranSe- <br />ment is first slyroved by the cnswtssion. <br /> <br />z) <br /> <br />An accessory building or private parking area or portion thereof may <br />be located at the side of a main building if situated on the rear half <br />of the lot and not less than five feet from both the main building and <br />the side lot line. <br /> <br />The minimum distance from any street or alley line upon which an ac- <br />cessory building faces shall be five feet. <br /> <br />When located on a reversed corner lot, the rear of which abuts upon <br />the side of another lot, said accessory building shall not l~roJect <br />beyond the front yard line required on the lot in rear of such cor- <br />ner lot, except as otherwise provided under side Imrds of corner lots. <br /> <br />An accessory building not exceeding one story or twelve feet in <br />height may occupy not more than thirty ~er cent of a required rear <br />yard° <br /> <br /> <br />
