AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC BY REPEALINO SECTION 21-174 THEREOF, AS AMEND- ED BY ORDINANCE NO. 4477s ENACTED DECI~!BER 23, 1968, LATING TO CLOSED STREET INTERSECTIONS; BARRICADES; AND ENACTING IN LIEU TItEP~OF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-174. CLOSED STREET INTERSECTIONS; BARRICADES" SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR A DIAGONAL BARRICADE AT PURDUN AVENUE AND WEllINGTON AVENUE, FROM THE NORTHEAST GOREER TO THE SOUTItWEST CORNER; AND PROVIDING A BARRICADE ON ETZEL AVENUE FOLLOWING THE NORTH LINE OF THE ALLEY NORTH OF OLIVE BOULEVARD; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVID- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to motor vehicles and traffic is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-174 thereof, as amended by Ordinance No. 4477, enacted December 23, 1968, re- lating to closed street intersections; barricades; and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 21-174. Closed street intersections; barri- cades" relating to the same subject, so as to provide for a diagonal barricade at Purdue Avenue and Wellington Avenues from the northeast corner to the southwest corner; and providing a barricade on Etzel Avenue following the north line of the alley north of 01i~e Boulevard; and_r3-enac2ing said s~e, ction so that said section as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 21-174. Closed street intersections: barricades It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to operate his vehicle through the hereinafter named street intersections. The director of public works shall erect suitable barricades to prohibit such movement of vehicular traffic at said intersections: Cornell Avenue: From the southeast corner of the small parkway to the south corner of Come11 Avenue where the south leg of Come11 Avenue joins Jackson Avenue. Etzel Avenue: Following the north line of the alley north of Olive Boulevard. Hafner Place: At Canton Avenue. Lindell Avenue: The north half thereof at its inter- section with Big Bend Boulevard. Mapleview Drive at Westview Drive. McFaxiRht Road: At the south City Limits. Mount Vernon Avenue: At the south line of Hanley Road. Northmoor Drive: At the southerly intersections with Big Bend Boulevard and 280 feet west thereof. Purdue Avenue: At the north line of Drexel Avenue,
