' S INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER ADAMS BILL NO. 7560 ORDINANCE NO. 5356 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO LICENSES AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS, BY REPEALING SECTION 18-19 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5338, ENACTED JULY 12, 1982, RELATING TO THE LISTING OF BUSINESSES HAVING SET FEES AND SETTING THE AMOUNT THEREFOR, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 18-19. LISTING OF BUSINESSES HAVING SET FEES; AMOUNT OF FEES," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO LOWER THE LICENSE FEE FOR AMUSEMENT CENTERS FROM $500.00 TO $100.00, AND TO INCLUDE COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENT LOCATIONS IN PENNY ARCADES; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 18 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to Licenses and Business Regulations is hereby amended by repealing Section 18-19 thereof, as amended by Ordinance No. 5338, enacted July 12, 1982, relating to listing of businesses having set fees and setting the amount therefor, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 18-19. Listing of businesses having set fees; amount of fees," by amending said section so as to lower the license fee for amusement centers from $500.00 to $100.00, and to include commercial amusement locations in Penny Arcades, relating to the same subject, and re-enacting said section so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Sec. 18-19. Listing of business having set fees; amount of fees. Every person engaged in any business, occupation, pursuit, profession or trade or in the keeping or maintaining of any institution, establishment, article, utility or commodity speci- fied in this section shall procure and pay for a license therefor from the City, and such license fees shall be in the respective amounts set out in this Section except as otherwise provided by this Code or by Ordinance.
