'P-RO' PLANNED t RESIDENTIAL-OFFICE DISTRICT," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO � MODIFY THE PERMITTED USES, USE REGULATIONS, AND DEVELOPMENT 6 STANDARDS THAT ARE APPLICABLE TO A "P-RO" DISTRICT; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. 1 z WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into several zoning districts, and regulates the uses to which the premises located therein may be put; and €. F 2 WHEREAS, Section 34-34 thereof provides for "P-RO" planned residential- office district; and s WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after a hearing, reviewed said sections; and WHEREAS, a due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Council, in the City Council Chamber at City Hall at 6:35 P.M. on the 25th day of April, 1983, was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circu- lation within said City, on the 20th day of April, 1983; and WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held at the time and place speci- fied in said notice, and all suggestions or objections concerning such change in said section were duly heard and considered by the Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY 6 CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University pity, Missouri, relating to Zoning is hereby amended by repealing Section 34-34 thereof, relating to "P-RO" Planned Residential-Office District, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as, "Section 34-34. 'P-RO' Planned Residential-Office District", by modifying the permitted uses, use regulations, and development standards of said district relating to the same subject, and re- enacting said section so that said section as so amended, shall read as follows: s f 34-34. 1 INTENT AND PURPOSE u The purpose of the "P-RO" classification is to encourage high quality, high-rise, multifamily residential and office develop- ment in intensities varying up to the highest density currently deemed in the welfare of or healthful for, residents of University City, and to allow the appropriate reuse of existing
