of municipal bonds of the City authorized by a vote of the qualified voters of said City at a special election called and held on the 7th day of November, 1967, said election being in pursuance of the provisions of Ordinance No. 4359; for all issued and outstanding bonds of an authorized issue of FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($540,000.00) of municipal bonds of the City authorized by a vote of the qualified voters of said City at a special election called and held i x on the 13th day of June, 1972, said election being in pursuance of the provisions of Ordinance No. 4730; and for all bonds of an authorized issue of ONE MILLION TWC HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,200,000.00) of municipal bonds of the City L authorized by a vote of the qualified voters of said City at a special election 4 called and held on the 3rd day of April, 1979, said election being in pursuance E f of the provisions of Ordinance No. 5141. Section 4. There is hereby levied upon all real, personal and other property subject to taxation in the City of University City for the fiscal year 1983-84, a special tax at the rate of THIRTY-FOUR CENTS ($.34) on each ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) of assessed valuation for the purpose of providing a retirement fund for salaried members of the Police and Fire Departments in accordance with the provisions of the ordinances of the City relating thereto. Section 5. This ordinance shall be effective as of June 27, 1983. Should, however, the Supreme Court of the State of Missouri find in the case of Weenick vs. City of University City, No. 64863, in favor of the plaintiff, z Weenick , then this ordinance shall be effective upon receiving the favorable vote of the qualified voters of the City voting at a special election thereon.
