INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER BILL NO. 7605 ORDINANCE NO. 5401 AN .ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, ON k BEHALF OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, A DEED OF EASEMENT IN FAVOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT AN APPLICATION FOR A FEDERAL GRANT-IN-AID TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE STATE OF MISSOURI UNDER THE NATIONAL PRESERVATION ACT; AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Council of University City recognizes the need for repair of the copper crown on the roof of the University City Hall, with part of the contract price to be funded through a Federal Grant-in-aid to be administered by the State of Missouri, and, • F WHEREAS, the State of Missouri requires that the easement attached hereto be made a part hereof as an additional condition to its granting the aforesaid grant-in-aid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVER- SITY CITY, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Manager of the City of University City is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, the Deed of Easement made a part hereof, said Deed of Easement is a condition precedent to the imple- mentation to the granting of a Federal grant-in-aid by the State of Missouri. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute any other documents necessary for the granting of the aforesaid Federal grant-in-aid. Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary in order to expedite completion of this project, and as such is an emergency ordinance which shall take immediate effect upon its passage. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, as provided by law. PASSED this 25th day of Julv , 1983.
