eleventh year; and said tax provision shall apply for all successors in <br />interest and assigns of the redevelopment corporation and any subsequent <br />transferee of any thereof (whether voluntary or involuntary) so long as they <br />shall continue to use the property as provided in the Plan and in the <br />redevelopment contract entered into with the Authority, but in no event for a <br />total of more than twenty (20) years, after which time the payment of taxes or <br />in lieu of taxes, shall be as for all other property in the City of University <br />City. <br /> <br /> Section 11. The City Council hereby acknowledges receipt from the <br />Authority of notification of the Authority's intent to enter into a redevelop- <br />ment contract with respect to the Project Area with Lewis Center Redevelopment <br />Corporation, an affiliate of McCormack, Baron & Associates. The City Council <br />hereby states that it has no objection to such action by the Authority. For <br />purpose of Section 10 hereof, the City Council hereby approves the acquisition <br />of the Project Area by Lewis Center Redevelopment Corporation and the <br />subsequent transfer thereof to Lewis Center Associates, a Missouri limited <br />partnership, pursuant to the redevelopment contract to be entered into by the <br />Authority. Lewis Center Associates is hereby specifically approved by the <br />City Council as a successor in interest to a redevelopment corporation and <br />shall, subject to the compliance with the Plan, be entitled to the tax abate- <br />ment provided for in Section 10 hereof. <br /> <br /> Section 12. This Ordinance, being necessary for the immediate <br />preservation of the public health, welfare and safety, is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure within the meaning of the Charter of the City of <br />University City and shall become effective immediately upon its passage. <br /> <br />PASSED this 22nd <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> <br />day of A~ust <br /> <br />, 1983. <br /> <br />CERTIFIED TO BE CORRECT AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />CITY AT <br /> <br /> <br />
