<br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 4805, ENACTED f
<br /> SEPTEMBER 24, 1973, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW
<br /> ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE INTERCHANGE OF FIRE SERVICES;
<br /> PROVIDING FOR THE INTERCHANGE OF FIRE SERVICES BETWEEN
<br /> CERTAIN NAMED MUNICIPALITIES AND FIRE DIFTRICTS; PROVIDING
<br /> THAT IF ANY MEMBER CITIES OR FIRE DISTRICTS HEREAFTER MAKE
<br /> INDEPENDENT CONTRACTS WITH OTHER CITIES OR FIRE DISTRICTS
<br /> FOR FURNISHING FIRE SERVICES WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF ALL
<br /> THE MEMBER CITIES AND FIRE DISTRICTS THAT SUCH CITY OR
<br /> FIRE DISTRICT SHALL AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATE THEIR ASSOCI-
<br /> ATION UNDER THIS ORDINANCE.
<br /> WHEREAS, by the provision of Section 70.210 to 70.320 of the Revised j
<br /> Statutes of Missouri, 1959, municipalities and fire districts may contract and
<br /> cooperate with each other for a common service and by the provision of Section
<br /> F
<br /> 71.370 and 71.380 Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1959, may interchange the
<br /> service of the fire departments; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the member cities and fire districts desire to include all
<br /> the herein named cities and fire districts in the contractual agreement; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it has been further agreed by and between the cities and
<br /> fire districts that should any of said cities or fire districts hereafter make
<br /> s
<br /> a contractual agreement for a monetary consideration to furnish its fire
<br /> i
<br /> department to another city or fire district not a member of this agreement
<br /> without the unanimous consent of all members of this contract, then such city
<br /> or fire district under this system would be automatically terminated.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVER-
<br /> SITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> Section 1. The City of University City hereby contracts respectively
<br /> and separately with the cities of Berkeley, Brentwood, Clayton, Crestwood, Des
<br /> Peres, Ferguson, Frontenac, Glendale, Hazelwood, Jennings, Kirkwood, Ladue,
<br /> Maplewood, Oakland, Olivette, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, St. Charles, Shrews-
<br /> bury, Town & Country, Warson Woods, Webster Groves, Affton Fire Protection
<br /> District, Ballwin Fire Protection District, Black Jack Fire Protection
<br /> District, Chesterfield Fire Protection District, Community Fire Protection
<br /> District, Creve Coeur Fire Protection District, Eureka Fire Protection
<br /> District, Fenton Fire Protection District, Florissant Valley Fire Protection
<br /> District, Gardenville Fire Protection District, High Ridge Fire Protection
<br /> District, Kinloch Fire Protection District, Lemay Fire Protection District,
<br /> Manchester Fire Protection District, Maryland Heights Fire Protection District,
<br /> Melville Fire Protection District, Moline Fire Protection District, Normandy
