District, Spanish Lake County Fire Protection District, Valley Park Fire <br /> Protection District, Wellston Fire Protection District, and West Overland Fire s <br /> Protection District, effective upon the passage and approval of a like ordi- <br /> nance by g the legislative body of any of said cities or fire districts for the <br /> interchange of fire service of the fire department of said city or cities, or <br /> fire districts, hereto, upon the conditions and provisions hereinafter <br /> contained. <br /> Section 2. The fire department of the City of University City shall <br /> 1 <br /> respond to fire alarms on call from any part of said cities and fire districts, <br /> and the fire department of said cities and fire district shall respond to fire <br /> t <br /> alarms on call in any part of the City of University City, commencing upon the <br /> effective date of this ordinance and continuing indefinitely. <br /> i <br /> Section 3. This contract may be terminated at any time during its <br /> term by either party thereto upon passage of an ordinance tyo that effect by the <br /> legislative body thereof and upon serving on the City Clerk of the other <br /> municipality or fire district a certified copy of such termination ordinance. <br /> The termination thereof shall take effect 60 days from the date of the service <br /> of such written notice. <br /> Section 4. The consideration for the service of the fire departments <br /> of each municipality and fire district, shall be the service given for the <br /> protection of the lives and property of the other municipalities and fire <br /> districts by the service or the other city or fire district hereto, and no <br /> compensation shall accrue or be paid to any of said cities or fire districts <br /> for the service of the fire department of the other said cities or fire <br /> districts. <br /> Section 5. No municipality or fire district through this contract <br /> shall be liable for the other for failure to respond to any call by the other <br /> or for delay or negligence or mistake in receiving and responding to any call, <br /> nor shall this contract be interpreted as being an agreement for the benefit <br /> for any third person. <br /> Section 6. Neither the City of University City nor any other of said <br /> municipalities or fire districts shall be liable by reason of this contract to <br /> any fireman, official or employee of the other, nor shall any fireman, official <br /> or employee of any of the parties to this contract be considered for any <br /> purpose a fireman, official or employee of any municipality or fire district <br /> other than the one by which he is regularly employed. <br /> Section 7. In case of loss or damage to the property of any of said <br /> municipalities or fire districts to this contract while responding to fire <br /> 2 <br />
