Section 6. That said election shall be held at the polling places for the City of University City designated by the Board of Election Commis- sioners for St. Louis County, Missouri. Section 7. That the election shall be held and conducted and the results thereof shall be canvassed in all respects in conformity with the Con- stitution and the laws of the State of Missouri and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of University City. The judges of the election shall be selected and appointed by the Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, Missouri, in accordance with applicable law. The returns of the election shall be certified to the City of University City, Missouri, by the Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, Missouri. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing and notwithstanding anything contained in this Ordinance or any other Ordinance of the City of University City, Missouri, to the contrary, the City Clerk of the City of University City, Missouri, and the Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, Missouri, be and they hereby are authorized to take all action necessary or appropriate so that the election shall be conducted in full compliance with the requirements of appli- cable law and particularly the Comprehensive Election Act of 1977 (Chapter 115 Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended). Section 8. That the City Clerk be and the said Clerk is hereby authorized and directed forthwith to file with the Board of Election Commis- ;:'. sioners for St. Louis County, Missouri, a duly certified copy of this Ordinance, to the end that said Board may take such action as may be required of it under the laws of the State of Missouri with respect to the general election herein provided for.
