INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER LEVY <br /> BILL N0. 7726 ORDINANCE NO. 5522 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br /> THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ZONING, BY ADDING <br /> A NEW ZONING DISTRICT TO "SECTION 34-9 ESTABLISHMENT OF <br /> ZONING DISTRICTS"; AND ENACTING THEREIN A NEW ZONING <br /> DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS "PD" PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT <br /> IN "SECTION 34-9 ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONING DISTRICTS", <br /> CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University <br /> City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into several zoning <br /> districts, and regulates the uses to which the buildings and premises located <br /> therein may be put; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 34-9 thereof provides for the Establishment of <br />} <br /> Zoning Districts; and <br /> I <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after a hearing, reviewed said I <br /> t <br /> section; and <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City <br /> Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall, at 7:30 P.M. on the 27th day of <br /> January, 1986, was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation within said City; and <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held, and all suggestions or <br /> objections concerning said change in said Section were duly heard and <br /> considered by the Council. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br /> University City, Missouri, is hereby amended by adding a new zoning district <br /> to be known as "PD" Planned Development District to "Section 34-9 Establish- <br /> ment of Zoning Districts", and enacting therein a new zoning district in <br /> "Section 34-9 Establishment of Zoning District", as so amended, shall read as <br /> follows: <br /> SECTION 34-9 <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONING DISTRICTS <br /> The City of University City is hereby divided into the following <br /> zoning districts: <br /> Residential: <br /> SR Single-Family Residential District <br /> (Single-family detached dwellings or attached dwellings } <br /> with site plan approval) <br /> LR Limited Residential District <br /> (Single-family attached dwelling or low-rise apartments <br /> including townhouse and garden apartments with site <br /> plan approval) <br /> MR Medium-Density Residential District <br /> All types of apartments without height limit and <br /> attached single-family dwellings) <br /> s <br />
