<br /> SECTION 34-123.1 HISTORIC LANDMARK ESTABLISHED
<br /> There is hereby established and historic landmark, the
<br /> boundaries of which are as follows:
<br /> Part of Lot 6 of SUTTER ESTATE SUBDIVISION in Surveys
<br /> 378, and 2033, Township 45 North, Range 6 East, a plat
<br /> of which is recorded with the commissioner report in
<br /> Book 428, page 127 of the St. Louis City (former
<br /> County) records and described: Beginning at a point in
<br /> the South line of Chamberlain Court, 50 feet wide, as
<br /> shown on the plat of Keating Subdivision recorded in
<br /> Plat Book 51, page 59, distant 262 feet West of the
<br /> West line of Ferguson Avenue, 60 feet wide, said point
<br /> being the Northwest corner of property conveyed to
<br /> Frank J. Schaub, et al. , by deed recorded in Book 4817,
<br /> page 426; thence West along the South line of
<br /> Chamberlain Court, 88 feet to a point; thence South and
<br /> parallel with the West line of Ferguson Avenue, 150
<br /> feet to a point; thence East and parallel with
<br /> Chamberlain Court, 88 feet to the southwest corner of
<br /> property conveyed to Schaub, et al. , thence North along
<br /> Schaub's West line, 150 feet to the point of beginning.

<br /> SECTION 34-123.2 LANDMARK REGULATIONS
<br /> No major change in landscaping or construction, or
<br /> addition, demolition, removal or substantial alter-
<br /> ations of the exterior features of the building,
<br /> including fencing and supplemental structures,
<br /> painting, scraping, refinishing or tuckpointing of
<br /> walls and trim, major roof work, gutter replacement,
<br /> modification of window or door openings, replacement of
<br /> windows or doors, or addition or replacement of storm
<br /> sash or storm doors may be made; nor shall any exterior
<br /> installation of electrical, mechanical, or utility
<br /> devices, such as cooling towers, meters, transformers
<br /> or poles take place without a building permit; nor
<br /> shall the City issue any permit for any such work
<br /> without first referring the matter to the Historic
<br /> Preservation Commission for review of the proposed
<br /> construction, placement, demolition, removal or alter-
<br /> ation to determine conformity with - standards
<br /> established for this building. To reach its determi-
<br /> nation, the Commission shall require the submission of
<br /> plans and specifications necessary to a decision
<br /> concerning the appropriateness of the proposed
<br /> undertaking.
<br /> SECTION 34-123.3 LANDMARK STANDARDS
<br /> In reviewing applications within this district, the
<br /> Historic Preservation Commission shall be guided by the
<br /> Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabili-
<br /> tation and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic
<br /> Buildings, 1979 (revised 1983), U.S. Department of the
<br /> Interior, National Park Service Preservation Assistance
<br /> Division, Washington, D.C.
