SECTION 11-1901.0 DESIGN CONDITIONS M-1901.1.1 Design Temperatures: The basic design parameters for heating and cooling systems shall be as follows: Heating Degree Days: 5000 Latitude: 38°-4' North Solar Factor Value: 126 BTU/H/Ft.2 Outside Temperature Inside Temperature Winter (db) 0°F (-18°C) Winter (db) 70°F (21°C) Summer (db) 95°F ( 35°C) Summer (db) 75°F (24°C) Summer (wb) 75°F ( 24°C) Section 2. _Saving Clause. Nothing in this ordinance or in the Mechanical Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding pending in any Court or any rights acquired or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordi- nance hereby repealed, as cited herein. Section 3. Severability, If any section, subsection, provision, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or of the BOCA Basic National Mechanical Code, Fifth Edition, 1984, is for any reasons held to be unconsti- tutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or of said code and supplement, and the City Council of the City of University City hereby declares that it would have passed the same, even though such portion so held to be unconstitutional had not been included herein, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable. Section 4. _Penalty- Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions of this ordinance or the code hereby adopted, shall upon conviction thereof be subject to the penalties provided in Section 1--8 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Section 5, Effective Date. This ordinance shall take affect and be in force from and after its passage, as provided by law.
