2602.3.2 Periodic Inspections: Periodic inspections shall be made by an <br />approved agency or by an inspector employed by an accredited insurance company <br />which is the primary insurer of the equipment to be inspected, and shall be <br />made at the expense and responsibility of the owner. The approved agency or <br />insurance company shall submit a detailed report of the inspections to the <br />code official on approved forms within 30 days following the completion of the <br />inspections. <br /> <br />ELECTRICAL WIRING AND EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />SECTION 2704.0 PERMIT AND CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTION <br /> <br />2704.5 Homeowner Permits: Subject to all provisions of sections 2704.5.1 <br />through 2704.5.6, a permit may be issued to the owner or to a member of the <br />owner's immediate family for the repair or modification (including the <br />installation of additional fixtures, outlets and circuits) of an existing <br />electrical system on the premises of a detached one-family dwelling including <br />accessory structures. <br /> <br />2704.5.1 The dwelling shall be designed and used solely for living purposes. <br /> <br />2704.5.2 The dwelling shall be occupied by the permittee. <br /> <br />2704.5.3 The permittee shall personally perform all required work. <br /> <br />2704.5.4 Prior to the issuance of a permit under this Section, the code <br />official shall determine that the request for a permit complies with the fore- <br />going provisions and that the applicant has the necessary knowledge and <br />ability to perform the proposed work in accordance with code requirements. <br /> <br />2704.5.5 The permit may be revoked by the Code Official if it is determined <br />that work under the permit is not being properly performed or that the appli- <br />cation did not comply or no longer complies with this Section. Upon such <br />revocation, the property owner may be required by the Code Official to proceed <br />immediately to procure a licensed electrician to correct or complete the work. <br /> <br />2704.5.6 This Section does not authorize a waiver or modification of any <br />provision of this Code relating to the materials, design, installation or <br />practice of electrical work, or to the preparation and approval of plans, or <br />to required fees for permits, inspections or reinspections. <br /> <br />2704.6 License Required: A permit shall be issued only to a person who has a <br />currently valid electrical contractors license, electrical maintenance <br />license, electrical industrial license, or electrical communications contrac- <br />tors license, duly issued by the Building Commission of St. Louis County, <br />Missouri, or to a homeowner for work to be performed under a homeowners <br />permit. <br /> <br />PLUMBING SYSTEMS <br /> <br />SECTION 2803.0 PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES OF APPROVAL <br /> <br />2803.6 Homeowner Permits: Subject to all provisions of sections 2803.6.1 <br />through 2803.6.6, a permit may be issued to the owner or to a member of the <br />owner's immediate family for the repair or modification (including the <br />installation of additional fixtures) of an existing plumbing or drainage <br />system on the premises of a detached one-family dwelling Including accessory <br />structures. <br /> <br />2803.6.1 The dwelling shall be designed and used solely for living purposes. <br /> <br />2803.6.2 The dwelling shall be occupied by the permittee. <br />2803.6.3 The permittee shall personally perform all required work. <br /> <br />2803.6.4 Prior to the issuance of a permit under this Section, the code <br />official shall determine that the request for a permit complies with the fore- <br />going provisions and that the applicant has the necessary knowledge and <br />ability to perform the proposed work. <br /> <br /> <br />
