1224.5.1 Floor basez Floors of basements, except as provided for <br />in Section 1224.1.1 shall be placed over a base course not less <br />than 4 inches (102mm) in thickness that consists of gravel or <br />crushed stone containing not more than 10 percent material that <br />passes through a No. 4 sieve. The floor base shall be placed in <br />such a way as to provide discharge of the drainage from all areas <br />of the floor base in accordance with Section 1224.5.3. <br /> <br /> (Article 18 Steel) <br /> (SECTION 1802.0 FORMED STEEL CONSTRUCTION) <br />1802.S Identification: Each structural member, siding panel and <br />roof panel of a metal building system shall be identified by the <br />manufacturer. The identification shall include the manufacturer~s <br />name or logo and the part number or part name consistent with <br />assembly instructions. Hardware items such as bolts, nuts, rivets <br />and washers shall be identified by standard industry markings. <br /> <br /> (Article 21 Exterior Walls) <br /> (SECTION 2101,0 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS) <br />2101.6.11.4 Certified Elevations: Any building to be constructed <br />in a flood plain area other than alterations or additions to <br />existing residences shall have the low sill elevation certified by <br />a Registered Engineer or Land Surveyor, licensed in the State of <br />Missouri, before approval of the required foundation inspection can <br />be given. <br /> <br /> (Article 23 Roofs and Roof Coverings) <br /> (SECTION 2305.0 PRESCRIPTIVE REQUIReMeNTS) <br />2305.2.3 ASphalt shingles: Asphalt shingles shall conformto ASTM <br />D225 or D3462 listed in Appendix A. Asphalt shingles shall not be <br />installed on roof slopes below two units vertical in 12 units <br />horizontal (2:12). Double-layer underlayment shall be required on <br />roof slopes below four units vertical in 12units horizontal (4:12). <br />Single-layer underlayment is required on all other roof slopes. <br />Asphalt shingles shall be secured to the roof with not less than <br />four fasteners per strip shingle, or not less than two fasteners <br />per individual shingle. Shingle headlap shall not be less than 2 <br />inches (51 mm). All roof underlayment shall conform to the <br />standards of ASTMD-226-S8 as published by theAmerican Society for <br />Testing and Materials. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 2308,0 REROOFING) <br />2308,5 Flashings: Flashings shall be installed in accordance with <br />approved manufactures installation instructions. <br /> <br /> (Article 25 Mechanical Equipment and Systems) <br /> (SECTION 2500.0 GENERAL) <br />2500.2 Mechanical code: All mechanical equipment and systems <br />shall be constructed, installed and maintained in accordance with <br />the mechanical code adopted under Section 6-20 of the Municipal <br />Code of the City of University City, Missouri. <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br /> <br />
