(SECTION 2511.0 BOILER ENCLOSURES) <br />2511.1 Boiler area enclosures: Every boiler or combination boiler <br />shall be installed in a protected area with an enclosure designed <br />to prevent unauthorized entry, and which allows a minimum clearance <br />of 24 inches (610 Tam) on all service sides. A locked door or gate <br />shall be provided for such enclosure openable on the inside without <br />a key. Storage or living quarters shall not be permitted in any <br />enclosure for a boiler or similar heating equipment. <br /> <br />Exception:Heating boilers located in buildings of Use Group <br />R-3 and Use Group R-2 containing six dwelling units or less. <br /> <br />( Article 27 Electrical Wiring Equipment and Systems ) <br />(SECTION 2704.0 PERMIT AND CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTION) <br />2704.5 Homeowner permits= Subject to all provisions of sections <br />2704.5.1 through 2704.5.6, a permit may be issued to the owner or <br />to a member of the owneres immediate family for the repair or <br />modification (including the installation of additional fixtures, <br />outlets and circuits) of an existing electrical system on the <br />premises of a detached one-family dwelling including accessory <br />structures. <br /> <br />2704.5.1 Homeowner permits: The dwelling shall be designed and <br />used solely for living purposes. <br /> <br />2704.5.2 The dwelling shall be occupied by the permittee. <br /> <br />2704.5.3 The permittee shall personally performall required work. <br /> <br />2704.5.4 Prior to the issuance of a permit under this Section, the <br />Code Official shall determine that the request for a permit <br />complies with the foregoing provisions and that the applicant has <br />the necessary knowledge and ability to performthe proposed work in <br />accordance with code requirements. <br /> <br />2704.5.5 The permit may be revoked by the Code Official if it is <br />determined that work under the permit is not being properly <br />performed or that the application did not comply or no longer <br />complies with this Section. Upon such revocation, the property <br />owner may be required by the Code Official to proceed immediately <br />to procure a licensed electrician to correct or complete the work. <br /> <br />2704.5.6 This Section does not authorize a waiver or modification <br />of any provision of this Code relating to the materials, design, <br />installation or practice of electrical work, or to the preparation <br />and approval of plans, or to required fees for permits, inspections <br />or reinspections. <br /> <br />2704.6 License required: A permit shall be issued only to a <br />person who has a currently valid electrical contractors license, <br />electrical maintenance license, electrical industrial license, or <br />electrical communications contractors license, duly issued by the <br />Building Commission of St. Louis County, Missouri, or to a <br />homeowner for work to be performed under a homeowners permit. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br /> <br />
