subsection (a) of this section or under the <br />restriction provided in subsection (b) or (c) <br />of this section, for the purpose.of soliciting <br />or canvassing an order for any merchandise, <br />device, book, periodical or printed matter <br />whatsoever; or for the purpose of soliciting <br />alms or a subscription or a contribution to <br />any church, charitable or public institution; <br />or for the purpose of distributing any hand- <br />bill, pamphlet, tract, notice or advertising <br />matter; or for the purpose of selling or <br />distributing any ticket or chance whatsoever <br />without the consent of the occupant of said <br />premises previously given. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance .Shall, upon <br />conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in <br />Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall not be construed so as <br />to relieve any person firm or corporation from any penalty <br />heretofore incurred by the violation of Section 18-123 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of University City prior to this <br />amendment. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
