Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City <br />of University City, relating to motor vehicles and traffic is <br />hereby amended by repealing Section 21-1 thereof, as amended <br />by Ordinance No. 3875~ enacted October 30, 1961, relating to <br />definitions generally and enacting in lieu thereof a new <br />section to be known as "Section 21-i~ Definitions Generally," <br />by changlng the definition of a commercial motor vehicle; <br />relating to the same subject, and re-enacting said section so <br />that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br />21-1 DEFINITIONS GENERALLY <br /> <br />For the purposes of this chapter, the following <br />definitions shall have the meanings respectively <br />ascribed to [hem by this section~ except as other- <br />wise pr'ovided: <br /> <br />Authorized Emergency Vehicle: Vehicles of the fire <br />department, police vehicles, underwriters' salvage <br />corps vehicles~ emergency repair vehicles of street <br />railways add other public service corporations, <br />city, county and sta~ emergency 'vehicles. <br /> <br />Commercial Motor Vehicle: A motor vehicle used for <br />business or instiitutional perposes or having <br />printed thereon or affixed thereto a sign identi- <br />fying a business~ institution, or principal product <br />or service of a business; or any motor vehicle used <br />primarily for the transportation of persons ~or a <br />fee or charge such as buses or taxi cabs. <br /> <br />Crosswalk: ]hat portion of a roadway ordinarily <br />included within the prolongation or connection of <br />curb and property lines at intersections, or any <br />portion of a roadway clearly indicated for pedes- <br />trian crossing by lines or other markings on the <br /> <br /> <br />
