INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER ADAMS <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8142 ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />5930 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 54 OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO <br />ZONING BY REPEALING SECTION 54-52.4 RELATING TO <br />SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED ACCESSORY USES, AS AMENDED <br />BY ORDINANCE NO. 5902 PASSED FEBRUARY 22, 1995, BY <br />ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION "b" BY DELETING THE TRIAL <br />PERIOD CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City <br />of University City, Missouri, as amended by Ordinance No. <br />5902, passed February 22, 1995, relating to zoning and <br />specifically to Section 34-52.4, said subsection is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />34-52.4 SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED USES. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corp- <br />oration to occupy or use any land, building, or <br />part thereof for any of the following specifically <br />prohibited accessory uses: <br /> <br />Outdoor parking or storage of private passenger <br />vehicles on surfaces other than properly main- <br />tained and properly drained pavements of con- <br />crete or blacktop. Exception: Parking or <br />storage of private passenger vehicles which are <br />accessory to one and two family structures are <br />permitted on surfaces paved with gravel or <br />crushed rock located in side and rear yards. <br /> <br />Outdoor parking or storage of pickup trucks on <br />any part of a residential lot when partially or <br />fully loaded with items of any nature, unless <br />such truck and its contents are screened from <br />view at normal eye level from any street or <br />adjoining lot. <br /> <br />Parking or storage of major recreational equip- <br />ment is prohibited on any part of any lot within <br />a residential zoning district. Exceptions: <br /> <br />1. Private parking or storage of major recre- <br /> ational equipment is permitted within a full <br /> enclosed garage. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
