34-54.~ CONDITIONAL USES., <br /> <br />The council may authorize any of the following uses by conditional <br />use permit, as provided in Section 54-65: <br /> <br />1. Detached single-family dwellings. <br /> <br />2. Apartment dwellings for the elderly. <br /> <br />5. Convalescent homes and nursing homes. <br /> <br />4. Churches, Synagogues and related facilities. <br /> <br />5. Hotels or motels. <br /> <br />6. Utility substations. <br /> <br />7. Public parks and playgrounds. <br /> <br />8. Schools, other than those permitted under <br /> section 54-34.5. <br /> <br />9. Theaters. <br /> <br />10. Libraries. <br /> <br />11. Museums. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />Research and development establishments engaged <br />in the development and assembly of electronic <br />equipment, precision instruments or miniaturized <br />prototypes, so long as the occupancy of such an <br />establishment at any time does not exceed one (1) <br />employee per one hundred seventy (170) square feet <br />of gross office, laboratory, processing or assembly <br />floor area, and the use is not classified by the <br />University City Building Code as being in the High <br />Hazzard Use group. <br /> <br />15. Public parking garages. <br /> <br />14. Access road serving commercial development in or out of <br /> PR-O district. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to <br />relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty incurred <br />by the violation of the zoning code, nor to the prosecution of any <br />such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of <br />the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be <br />subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of University City. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
