<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
<br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO BUILDINGS BY REPEALING
<br />ARTICLE II THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5792, ENACTED
<br />APRIL 1, 1991, RELATING TO THE MECHANICAL CODE AND ENACTING IN
<br />LIEU THEREOF A NEW ARTICLE TO BE KNOWN AS "ARTICLE II
<br />MECHANICAL CODE" SO AS TO ADOPT THE BOCA NATIONAL MECHANICAL
<br />CODE, EIGHTH EDITION, 1993; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND
<br />PROVIDING A PENALTY.

<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to lh~ appp~"6n April 1, 1991, of Ordiha~6e l,,ro. 5792,
<br />adopting the "BOCA National Mechanical Code, Seventh Edition, 1990" as published by the
<br />Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., a new edition known as the
<br />BOCA National Mechanical Code, Eighth Edition, 1993, has been published by said Building
<br />Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, it is desired to adopt, by reference, "The BOCA National Mechanical Code,
<br />Eighth Edition, 1993" as published by th6 Building Officials and Code Administrators
<br />International, Inc., with certain modifications hereinafier set forth.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF UNIVERSITY
<br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. Chapter 6 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City relating to
<br />Buildings is hereby amended by repealing Article II thereof, as amended by Ordinance No.
<br />5792, enacted April 1,1991, relating to the Mechanical Code and enacting in lieu thereof a new
<br />Article to be known as "Article II Mechanical Code" so as to adopt the BOCA National
<br />Mechanical Code, Eighth Edition, 1993, relating to the same subject, and enacting said Article
<br />so that said Article, as so enacted, shall read as follows:

<br />ARTICLE H. MECHANICAL CODE
<br />
<br />Section 6-20 Adoption: The BOCA National Mechanical Code, Eighth Edition, 1993,
<br />as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., three
<br />copies of which axe on file in the office of the City Clerk and a copy of which is attached
<br />hereto, is adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of University City, Missouri; for
<br />the control of building and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the
<br />regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the BOCA National
<br />Mechanical Code, Eighth Edition, 1993, axe hereby referred to, adopted and made a part
<br />hereof, as if fully set out in this ordinance, with additions, insertions, deletions and
<br />
