<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
<br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO BUILDINGS BY AMENDING
<br />ARTICLE I11 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5793 ENACTED
<br />APRIL 1, 1991, RELATING TO THE PLUMBING CODE, SO AS TO ADOPT THE
<br />BOCA NATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, NINTH EDITION, 1993; CONTAINING A
<br />SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the approval on April 1, 1991, of Ordinance No. 5793,
<br />adopting the "BOCA Basic National Plumbing Cede, Eighth Edition, 1990", as published by the
<br />Building Officials and Cede Administrators International, Inc., a new edition known as the
<br />BOCA National Plumbing Cede, Ninth Edition, 1993, has been published by said Building
<br />Officials and Cede Administrators International, Inc., and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, it is desired to adopt, by reference, "The BOCA National Plumbing Cede,
<br />Ninth Edition, 199Y as published by the Building Officials and Cede Administrators
<br />International, Inc., with certain medifications hereina~er set forth.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF UNIVERSITY
<br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. Chapter 6 of the Municipal Cede of the City of University City, relating to
<br />buildings is hereby amended by repealing Sections 6-30 and 6-30.1 in Article III thereof, as
<br />amended by Ordinance No. 5793, enacted April 1, 1991, relating to the Plumbing Cede, and
<br />enacting in lieu thereof new Sections 6-30 and 6-30.1, so as to adopt the BOCA National
<br />Plumbing Cede, Ninth Edition, 1993, relating to the same subject, and re-enacting said Sections
<br />so that said Sections as so amended, shall read as follows:

<br />ARTICLE 1II. PLUMBING CODE
<br />
<br />Section 6-30. Adoption: The BOCA National Humbing Code, Ninth Edition, 1993, as
<br />published by the Building Officials and Cede Administrators International, Inc., three
<br />copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk and a copy of which is attached
<br />hereto, is adopted as the Plumbing Cede of the City of University City, Missouri; for
<br />the control of plumbing, water and sewer installations as herein provided; and each and
<br />all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of the BOCA National
<br />Plumbing Cede, Ninth Edition, 1993, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a pan
<br />hereof, as if fully set out in this Ordinance, with the additions, insertions, deletions and
<br />changes prescribed in Section 6-30.1 of this Article.

<br />Section 6-30.1 Additions. Insertions. Deletions and Changes: The following numbered
<br />subsections of the BOCA National Plumbing Cede Ninth Edition, 1993, are amended by
<br />additions, insertions, deletions and changes, including the changing of subsection titles
<br />and the addition of new subsections so that such amended and added subsections read as
<br />
