(CItAFFER 1 ADMINISTRATION) <br /> <br />(SECTION P-101.0 GENERAL) <br /> <br />P-101.1 Title: These regulations shall be known as the Plumbing Code of the City of <br />University City, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "this code.* The terms: *name of <br />jurisdiction* or *local jurisdiction* wherever employed herein shall mean the City of University <br />City, Missouri. <br /> <br />(SECTION P-10s.0 DI~ARTMENT OF PLUMBING INSPECTION) <br /> <br />P-105.1 General: The term "Department of Plumbing Inspection" wherever employed herein <br />shall mean the Department of Planning and Development of the City of University City, and the <br />term "Code Official" shall mean the Building Commissioner of the City of University City. <br /> <br />P-105.2 Appointment: Is hereby deleted in its entirety. <br /> <br />(SECTION P-108.0 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT) <br /> <br />P-108.1 Permit required: Plumbing work shall not be commenced until a permit for such <br />work has been issued by the Code Official. A permit is not required for the following work <br />provided that alterations are not made to the existing piping or fixtures: <br /> <br />Repairs that only involve the working parts of faucets or valves, or the clearance <br />of stoppages. <br />Replacement of faucets or valves. <br />Replacement of fixture traps installed with approved drainage slip joints. <br />Replacement of approved automatic dishwashers only where the existing water <br />supply connection and existing waste connection comply Section P-1210.0. <br />Replacement of approved food waste grinder units only where the existing waste <br />connection complies Section P-1214.0. <br /> <br />(SEL-IION P-109.0 PERMITS) <br /> <br />P-109.1.1 Rejected application: Rejected applications will be held on file for 60 days <br />after the date of rejection. If the required information or corrections are not received <br />within this period of time, the application shall be deemed to have been abandoned. <br /> <br />P-109.2 Suspension of permit: If authorized work is not commenced within six months after <br />the issuance of a permit, or if it is suspended or abandoned for a period of six months after the <br />time of commencing work, the permit shall become invalid unless an application to extend this <br />time is received prior to the expiration of the period and the code official grants the time <br />extension. Such suspension shall not relieve the owner or person responsible from the obligation <br />and responsibility to obtain a permit and complete the work necessary to correct defects or <br />restore the structure to a condition that complies with applicable codes and ordinances. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
