COOPERATION AGREEMENT <br /> THIS COOPERATION AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is made this ,~O~ <br />day of ~rD~A , 1994 by and between the CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, a Missouri municipal corporation located in St. <br />Louis County, Missouri (the "City") and the LAND CLEARANCE FOR <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF UNIV~/MSITY CITY, a body <br />corporate and politic (the "Authority"). <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> A. Sections 70.210 through 70.325 of Missouri Revised <br />Statutes authorize political subdivisions to contract and <br />cooperate with any other municipality or political subdivision or <br />with an elective or appointive official thereof, or with a duly <br />authorized agency of the United States, or of this state, or with <br />other states or their municipalities or political subdivisions, <br />or with any private person, firm, association or corporation, for <br />the planning, development, construction, acquisition or operation <br />of any public improvement or facility, or for a common service. <br /> <br /> B. The city is a political subdivision as defined in <br />Section 70.210 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. <br /> <br /> C. The Authority is a municipality as defined in Section <br />70.210 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. <br /> <br /> D. The City is a home rule city operating pursuant to its <br />charter and possessing all powers possible for a city to have <br />under the constitution and laws of Missouri, or which it would be <br />competent for the legislature to grant; and except as prohibited <br />by the constitution or laws of the state, the City may exercise <br />STL-~ZS~ <br /> <br /> <br />
