Certificate of Non-residential Occupancy== cf. Use Certificate. <br /> <br />Child Day Care Center, Nursery School or Day Care Nursery: A group <br />program providing for the care of five children oP more away from <br />their own homes for any part of the twenty-four (24) hour day, fop <br />compensation or otherwise, supplementing parental responsibility for <br />the child's protection, development and supervision. <br /> <br />Commercial Equipment: Construction equipment, material handling <br />equipment and the like, and trailers fop transporting such equipment <br />whether occupied by such equipment or not. <br /> <br />Commercial Motor Vehicle: Any motor vehicle used for business or <br />institutional purposes or having painted thereon or affixed thereto <br />a sign identifying a business, institution, or a principal product <br />or service of a business; or any motor vehicle used primarily for <br />the transportation of persons for a fee or charge such as buses or <br />taxicabs. <br /> <br />Commonly Usable Residential Open Space (C. U.R.O.S.)== Any outdoor <br />area of such size, shape and location as to provide for specific <br />outdoor living functions, such as patios, playgrounds, oP swimming <br />pools, or outdoor Service functions Such as laundry drying. Site <br />area considered as C.U.R.O.S. must be available and accessible fop <br />all residential occupants of a given building or devetopment, and <br />may include only those spaces enclosing an area of at least three <br />hundred (309) square feet, and measuring fifteen (15) feet in width <br />at the naProwest point. <br /> <br />Convalescent Home: Any premises, other than a nursing home, <br />hospital or residential substance abuse treatment center, which <br />provides twenty-four (24) hour care, accommodation and board in <br />order to aid individuals in the gradual recovery of health and <br />strength after illness or weakness, including a "Residential Care <br />Facility I" or a "Residential Care Facility I1" as defined by <br />Chapter 198 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. <br /> <br />Convenience Service Retail Uses= Small establishments designed and <br />intended to service the daily or frequent trade or service needs of <br />Surrounding population. Such establishments include grocery stores, <br />variety stores, drug stores, coin-operated laundry and dry-cleaning <br />establishments, beauty Shops, barber ships, and medical and dental <br />offices. Specifically excluded are automobile filling and service <br />stations and carryout and drive-in restaurants. <br /> <br />Decibeh A unit of measure of the intensity of sound. <br /> <br />Density: The number of dwelling units that may be constructed per <br />acre or per square feet of a zoning lot area. <br /> <br />Detached Single-family Dwelling= A building containing only one <br />dwelling unit and entirely surrounded by yards or other separation <br />from other buildings or adjacent lots. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
