Development Standard= Regulations which limit the size, bulk or <br />siting conditions of discrete types of residential buildings located <br />within any designated use district. <br /> <br />Dormitory: Any premises providing group sleeping or living <br />accommodations for four (4) or more unrelated persons associated <br />with an educational institution. <br /> <br />Drive-in Restaurant: An establishment <br />beverages and food directly to consumers <br />for consumption on the premises. <br /> <br />which offers oP sells <br />tn parked motor vehicles <br /> <br />Dwelling: A structure or portion thereof used exclusively fop <br />residential purposes. <br /> <br />Dwelling Unit: One (1) or more rooms designed for use as a single <br />housekeeping unit to be occupied by one (1) family for living <br />purposes and having permanently installed sanitary and cooking <br />facilities within the dwelling unit. <br /> <br />Elevator Apartment: An apartment building of more than three (3) <br />stories in height, with primary access to units above the third <br />floor level typically provided by means of an elevator. <br /> <br />Family= An individual or married couple and/or the children <br />thereof. <br /> <br />Family Day Care Home= A single family residence in which family- <br />like care is provided fop four (4) children oP less, away from their <br />own homes, for compensation oP otherwise, fop any part of the <br />twenty-four (24) hour day. <br /> <br />Floor Area (Gross Floor Area)= The Sum of the horizontal surfaces <br />of the several floors of a building measured from the exterior faces <br />of exterior walls, to include all corridors, lobbies, alp shafts, <br />elevators, Stairwells and toilets. Areas devoted to the off-street <br />parking or loading, oP to boiler rooms, shall not be included in <br />gross floor area. <br /> <br />Floor Area Ratio (F.A.R.)= The total gross floor area of the <br />building or buildings on any zoning lot divided by the area of such <br />zoning lot. <br /> <br />Garage, Private= A detached accessory building oP portion of a <br />principal building, designed, arranged, used oP intended to be used <br />fop the storage of motor vehicles of the occupants of the premises <br />oP their Clients oP customers without charge to Visitors, Clients or <br />customers during the period they are Visiting oP conducting business <br />with an occupant on the premises. <br /> <br />Garden Apartment (Walk-up Apartment)= A two (2) or three (3) story <br />apartment building containing not mope than twelve (12) dwelling <br />units, with common access to all units provided by one oP two <br />stairways. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
