(2) <br /> <br />The court costs collected by the municipal court clerk <br />pursuant to paragraph (b)(1) shall be transmitted monthly <br />to the director of finance and used only to pay for <br />training law enforcement officers required as provided in <br />Sections 590.100 to 590.180 RSMo. <br /> <br />(c) In addition to all other court costs: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />A judge of the municipal court may assess a fee of up to <br />one dollar ($1.00) as court costs against a defendant in <br />each court proceeding for a violation of a municipal <br />ordinance, provided that no such fee shall be collected <br />for non-moving traffic violations, and no such fee shall be <br />collected when the proceeding or the defendant has <br />been dismissed by the court. The clerk of the municipal <br />court shall collect such court costs. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The court costs collected by the municipal court clerk <br />pursuant to paragraph (c)(1) shall be disbursed to the <br />Missouri Treasu~/ to the credit of the peace officer <br />standards and training commission fund created in <br />Section 590.178 RSMo. <br /> <br />(d) In addition to all other court costs: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />A judge of the municipal court may assess court costs <br />against a defendant in an amount not to exceed one <br />dollar ($1.00) per case for each municipal ordinance <br />violation case filed before a municipal judge. The judge <br />may waive assessment of such court costs in those cases <br />where the defendant is found by the judge to be <br />indigent and unable to pay the court costs. The clerk of <br />the municipal court clerk shall collect such court costs. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The court costs collected by the municipal court clerk <br />pursuant to paragraph (d)(1) shall be disbursed to St. <br />Louis County at least monthly to use only for the purpose <br />of providing operating expenses for shelters for battered <br />persons as defined in Sections 455.200 to 455.230 RSMo. <br /> <br /> Section ?. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, <br />firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Section <br />1-8.2 nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br /> <br />
