BILL NO. <br /> <br />8310 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER WAGNER <br /> ORDINANCE NO.. <br /> <br />6092 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />PARKING FACILITIES AT 6319 DELMAR BLVD. IN UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI; AND AUTHORZING THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH KLOSTER <br />CONSTRUCTION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PARKING <br />FACILITIES; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER <br />INTO AND EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY SUCH CONTRACT AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS IN <br />CONNECTION THEREWITH, CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br />CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 4, 1996, the City Council adopted a resolution <br />declaring the necessity of making public improvements to 6319 Delmar Blvd. by <br />construction motor vehicle parking facilities there; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon the adoption of said resolution, the City Council fixed November <br />18, 1996 as the date for a public hearing with respect to such public improvements; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 18, 1996 at 7:30 p.m., such public hearing was lawfully <br />held by the City Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, and all persons <br />interested in such public improvements were heard; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after such public hearing, the City Council determined that such <br />public improvements are in the public interest and decided to proceed with the public <br />improvements, and directed the City Manager to cause plans and specifications for <br />the public improvements to be prepared by the proper officer and submitted to the <br />City Council for approval; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such plans and specifications were properly prepared and submitted <br />to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City advertised for bids to perform the work <br />necessary under such plans and specifications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such bids were properly received and considered. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City of University City, Missouri is authorized to make public <br />improvements to 6319 Delmar Blvd. In University City, Missouri, by constructing motor <br />vehicle parking facilities there. <br /> <br /> <br />
