(Use Group R-3 structures) <br /> <br />310.5.2 Group homes: A group home serving ten or fewer individual persons shall be <br />classified as Use Group R-3, unless it serves more than five children 2 ~ years of age or <br />younger. <br /> (Use Group R-4 structures) <br /> <br />310.6.1 Administrative requirements. The provisions of Chapter 1 of this code shall apply <br />to Use Group R-4. <br /> <br />310.6.2 Specific requirements. All gas-fired log lighters installed in buildings of <br />Use Group R-4 shall comply with the provisions of Section 809.1 of the mechanical code listed <br />in Chapter 35. <br /> <br />310.6.4 Specific plumbing requirements. Fixture clearances in buildings of Use Group R-4 <br />shall comply with the provisions of Section 406.3.1 of the plumbing code listed in Chapter 35. <br /> <br /> ( CHAPTER 4 SPECIAL USE AND OCCUPANCY REQUIREMENTS ) <br /> (SECTION 420.0 MOBILE UNITS) <br />420.1 General: Mobile units, including mobile homes, travel trailers and truck trailers, shall not <br />be occupied or used for human habitation, human occupancy or storage purposes unless the <br />mobile unit is placed on a permanent foundation and complies with the requirements of this <br />section. <br /> Exception: Temporary site office and storage facilities in connection with construction <br /> operations for a limited pedod of time as approved by the code official. <br /> <br /> ( SECTION 421.0 SWIMMING POOLS ) <br />421.1 General: For the purposes of this code, swimming pools are classified as pdvate <br />swimming pools or public swimming pools, as defined in Section 421.2., except that private <br />swimming pools shall include structures that contain water of any depth and shall include pools <br />that are used in connection with occupancy in Use Group R-4 as well as R-3.. Materials and <br />construction used in swimming pools shall comply with the applicable requirements of this code. <br /> <br />Swimming pools, bathing pools, ponds, hot tubs and spas which are capable of containing <br />water more than 18 inches (458 mm) in depth shall be enclosed in accordance with Section <br />421.9 or Section 421.10. <br /> <br />-10- <br /> <br /> <br />
