Swimming pools, bathing pools, hot tubs and spas which are equipped with a water- <br />recirculating system, or have a water depth of 24 inches (610 ram) or greater shall conform to <br />all the requirements of this section. <br /> <br />421.10.3 Prohibited locations and arrangements: Pedestrian access gates in pool barriers <br />shall not exceed 40 inches in width. Gates other than pedestrian access gates are not permitted <br />in pool bardem. Barriers shall be located so as to prohibit permanent, structures, equipment or <br />similar objects from being used to climb the barriers. <br /> <br /> ('CHAPTER 5 GENERAL BUILDING LIMITATIONS ) <br />SECTION 508.0 CLOSING EXISTING EXTERIOR OPENINGS <br /> <br />508.1 Permanent closure: Doors, windows and other exterior wall openings shall not be <br />closed up with permanent construction unless the new construction meets all the requirements <br />of this code for exterior wall construction. <br /> <br />508.2 Temporary closure, restricted: Doors, windows and other extedor wall openings shall <br />not be closed up or boarded up with temporary construction unless the code official makes a <br />finding that such temporary closure is necessary to protect the public health, safety or welfare. <br /> <br />508.3 Temporary closure, standards: Temporary closures permitted under this section shall <br />consist of not less than % inch thick weather-resistant plywood coated with approved paint or <br />protective coating to prevent deterioration, cut to fit within openings, securely nailed or screwed <br />in place and securely braced. <br /> <br />( CHAPTER 9 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS ) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 904.0 FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM) <br />904.9 Use Group R-2: An automatic fire suppression system shall be provided through all <br />buildings with an occupancy in Use Group R-2 in accordance with Section 906.2.1 or 906.2.2. <br /> Exception: Buildings which meet all of the following conditions: <br /> 1. Maximum of two stories, counting a basement as a story, <br /> 2. Maximum of 12 dwelling units per fire area, and <br /> 3. Each dwelling unit shall have at least one door opening to an exterior exit <br /> access that leads directly to the exits required to serve that dwelling unit. <br /> (SECTION 906.0 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM) <br /> <br />906.10 Water Flow Tests: Water flow tests for fire sprinkler systems shall be conducted <br />between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />906.10.1 Water Flow Safety Factor:. A safety factor shall be applied to all flow tests for <br />the sprinkler systems. A parallel curve shall be drawn to the actual flow test curve that <br />has been reduced by 20 per cent of the static pressure. A sprinkler system design shall <br />not exceed the 20 per cent curve. <br /> <br />(SECTION 920.0 SINGLE- AND MULTIPLE-STATION SMOKE DETECTORS) <br /> <br />920.1.1 Existing buildings: Smoke detectors installed in an existing building where there is <br />no change in use and where the building is not being altered or substantially rehabilitated, shall <br />not be required to be interconnected and shall be permitted with either an AC pdmary power <br />or a monitored battery power source. <br /> <br />-1]- <br /> <br /> <br />
