official grants the time extension. Such suspension shall not relieve the owner or person <br />responsible from the obligation and responsibility to obtain a permit and complete the work <br />necessary to correct defects or restore the structure and the site to a condition that complies with <br />applicable codes and ordinances. <br /> <br />108.10 Refusal to comply. The code official shall revoke a permit in the case of repeated <br />refusals to comply with stop work orders. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 112.0 FEES) <br />112.3.1 Fee schedule: A fee for each application, plan examination, permit, inspection, <br />appeal, and other se~ice furnished by the department of building inspection or its contractors <br />shall be as prescribed in local ordinances. <br /> <br />112.3.2 Surcharge for work started without a permit: In case any work for which <br />a permit is required by this code is substantially started or proceeded without prior <br />obtaining said permit, the total normal fees applicable shall be increased by an amount <br />equal to the permit fee; except that the surcharge amount shall not be less than $25.00 <br />nor more than $500.00 for each permit.. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 113.0 INSPECTION) <br />113.6 Extra inspections: In addition to the inspections normally provided, the code official <br />shall require that additional inspections or re-inspections be conducted due to non-compliance <br />with code requirements or due to work which is not ready for inspection or not accessible for <br />inspection at the time of a scheduled inspection. Fees for such additional inspections shall be <br />assessed when such inspections are conducted. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 114.0 ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING SERVICES) <br />114.1 General: The provisions of this section shall define the construction controls required for <br />buildings involving professional architectural or engineering services, and delineate the <br />responsibilities of such professional services dudng construction. <br /> <br />114.1.1 Design and construction documents: All design for new construction, <br />alteration, repair, expansion, addition or modification work involving the practice of <br />professional architecture or engineering, as defined by the statutory requirements of the <br />professional registration laws of the State of Missouri, shall be prepared by registered <br />design professionals, certified by the Missoud Board for Architects, Professional <br />Engineers and Land Surveyors. All construction documents required for a building <br />permit application for such work shall be prepared by or under the direct supervision of <br />a registered design professional, shall include the name, address and telephone number <br />of the design professional and shall bear the seal and signature of the design <br />professional in accordance with Section 114.1.3, consistent with State statutes and <br />regulations governing the professional registration and certification of architects, <br />professional engineers and land surveyors. <br /> <br />Exceptions: <br /> <br /> · 1. Miscellaneous structures, such as room additions, carports, garages, sheds <br /> and similar structures related to buildings of Use Groups R-3 and R-4. <br />2. Work of a minor nature when approved by the code official in accordance with <br />Section 105.6. <br />114.1.2 Shop drawings and samples: The registered design professional, whose seal <br />is on the approved construction documents, shall be responsible for review and approval <br />of shop drawings and samples, as required by the approved construction documents for <br />conformance to the design concept and compliance with this code. This review process <br />may be contracted by the owner to another registered design professional licensed by <br />the State of Missouri, should the original design professional not desire to provide such <br />services. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
