114.1.3 Application of seals and signatures: All construction documents required by <br />Section 114.1.1 to bear the seal of a registered design professional shall bear seals and <br />signatures in accordance with the following: <br /> <br />a. The registered design professional for each discipline shall place his or her <br />odginal embossed or wet ink seal and signature upon the cover sheet of each set <br />of construction documents or on the front sheet of each discipline within each set <br />of construction documents. <br /> <br />b. In. addition, all other sheets of the construction documents other than <br />specifications or calculations shall bear the original embossed, wet ink, or <br />mechanically reproduced seals of the registered design professional. <br /> <br />c. Any addenda or modifications to the construction documents shall also bear an <br />original seal and signature by the registered design professional. Such changes <br />shall be clearly indicated. <br /> <br />114.1.4 Reproduction of sealed documents: Construction documents sealed by a <br />registered design professional, may not be reproduced for anyone without the expressed <br />wdtten permission of registered design professional who sealed said documents, or as <br />ordered by a court of law. <br /> <br />114.2 Special professional services: When applications are filed for unusual designs or <br />magnitude of construction which require construction document review or inspection services <br />beyond the capacity of the code official's staff, or where code reference standards in Chapter <br />35 require special architect or engineer inspections, the code official may require the owner to <br />retain a properly qualified registered design professional to perform the services necessary for <br />code compliance in addition to that provided in Section 114.1.2. This project representative shall <br />keep daily records and submit reports as shall be required by the code official. Upon completion <br />of the work, the registered design professional shall file a final report indicating whether or not <br />all required inspections were performed and listing pertinent deviations from the building code <br />requirements or form the approved construction documents and the source of authority for such <br />deviations. <br /> <br />114.2.1 Building permit requirement: The necessity for special professional services <br />shall be determined pdor to issuance of the building permit, unless waived to a later date <br />by the code official. Refusal by the applicant to provide such services as required by the <br />code official shall result in the denial of the permit. <br /> <br />114.2.2 Fees and costs: All fees and costs related to the performance of special <br />inspection services shall be the responsibility of the owner. <br /> <br />114.2.3 Visits to site: When so directed by the code official, or when required by the <br />special inspection provisions of this code, the registered design professional shall make <br />visits to the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of the construction to observe the <br />progress and the quality of the work; to observe construction components requiring <br />controlled materials or is proceeding in accordance with the construction documents <br />approved for the building permit. The registered design professional shall periodically <br />submit reports to the code official showing the results of such pedodic visits. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 116.0 VIOLATIONS) <br />116.4 Violation penalties: Any person who shall violate a provisions of this code, or who shall <br />fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall erect, move, construct, alter, <br />remove, demolish or repair a structure in a manner that is not in compliance with an approved <br />plan or directive of the code official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of <br />this code, or who shall start any work requiring a permit without first obtaining the permit <br />therefore, or who shall continue any work in or about a structure after having been served a <br />stop-work order, except such work as that person has been directed to perform to remove a <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br /> <br />
