PM-405.3 Maximum number of occupants. No dwelling unit shall be occupied by more <br />occupant than the total number of occupants permitted to occupy the bedrooms in accordance <br />with the provision of Section PM-405.2.1. No part of a required living room, required dining <br />room, kitchen, or nonhabitable space shall be counted as bedroom space in dete..rm. ining the <br />maximum number of occupants permitted in a dwelling unit; nor shall any other space be <br />counted as bedroom space unless it meets all of the requirements of Section PM-405.2 <br /> <br />PM-405.4 Single family occupancy: No dwelling unit shall be occupied by more than a single <br />family plus not more than two (2) other persons, all living together as a single housekeeping unit. <br /> <br />Exception: A bed and breakfast facility or a group home authorized under the <br />provisions of the University City Zoning Code <br /> <br />PM-405.5 Other habitable spaces required. Every dwelling unit other than an efficiency <br />dwelling unit permitted under the provisions of Section PM-405.7 shall contain a living room, <br />dining room and kitchen with floor areas that comply with the minimum floor area requirements <br />of Table PM-405.5 based on the total number of occupants in the unit. <br /> <br />PM-405.7 Efficiency units: Efficiency dwelling units shall be permitted provided each such unit <br />includes a food preparation area containing a kitchen sink, includes a separate bathroom <br />containing a water closet, lavatory and bathtub or shower; and is occupied not more than three <br />occupants. <br /> <br />PM-405.7.'1 One or two occupants. Every efficiency unit occupied by one or two <br />occupants shall contain a habitable room with a floor area of not less than 220 square <br />feet (20.4m~). <br /> <br />PM.405.7.2 Three occupants. Every efficiency unit occupied by three occupants shall <br />contain a habitable room with a floor area of not less than 320 square feet (29.7m~). <br /> <br />PM-405.9 Minimum room widths: Habitable spaces shall have a clear room width at the <br />narrowest point, exclusive of projections affecting less than 10 percent of the floor area, which <br />is not less than the following: <br /> <br />Living Rooms 10'-0" (3048 mm) <br />Dining Rooms 7'-8" (2338 mm) <br />Other habitable rooms 7'-0" (2134 mm) <br /> <br />Exception: Kitchens shall have a clear passageway of not less than 3 feet (914 ram) <br />between counter fronts and appliances or counter fronts and walls. <br /> <br /> (CHAPTER 5 PLUMBING FACILITIES AND FIXTURE REQUIREMENTS) <br /> <br /> (SECTION PM-503.0 REQUIRED FACILITIES) <br /> <br />PM-503.1,1 Additional fixtures required: Every dwelling unit with more than seven occupants <br />shall contain additional plumbing fixtures at the rate of one additional water closet and one <br />additional lavatory for each additional four occupants or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />-].4- <br /> <br /> <br />
