It shall be unlawful for any person not having a parking permit issued <br />pursuant to this division to park a vehicle in any parking space without <br />there having been deposited in the parking meter the money to pay <br />the fee imposed by this division. If the timing device shows that the <br />time for which the fee is paid has expired, and if a vehicle is parked <br />in a parking space adjacent to such meter, then this shall be prima <br />facie evidence that the fee required by this division for the privilege <br />of parking such vehicle in such space has not been deposited in the <br />parking meter, unless, however, the vehicle has a parking permit <br />issued under this division. Each meter shall designate the type of coin <br />to be deposited. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, <br />firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Section <br />21-142, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or coq~)rcrtion violating any of the provisions of <br />this ordinance ~hall, upon conviction there, be subject to the penalty provided in <br />Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
