Amendment to 'Section 34-90, Page 3 of 12 shelter. Building Coverage (Lot Coverage): That percentage of a lot which, when viewed from above, would be covered by a structure or structures or any part thereof, excluding roof eaves. Building Height: The vertical distance measured from the curb or its equivalent established grade at a point midway between the two (2) side lot lines to the highest point of the roof in the case of a flat roof; to the deck line of a mansard roof; and to the mean height level between eaves and ridge of a gable, hip or gambrel roof; provided, that where buildings are set back from the street line, the height of the building may be measured from the average elevation of the finished lot grade at the front of the building. Building Line: A line parallel to the front lot line and passing through the nearest point of the principal building. Building Permit: A permit issued by the Building Commissioner prior to any construction. Car Wash: A structure or portion thereof, containing facilities for washing motor vehicles, such as a chain conveyor, blower, steam cleaning device or other mechanical device. Carry-out Restaurant: An establishment which sells prepared beverages and/or food to the public principally for the consumption off the premises, and which does not offer goods or services to consumers waiting in parked motor vehicles.
