BILL NO. ~ I ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCEAMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY RELATING TO ZONING BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 34-51.4, RELATING TO PERMITTED HOME <br />OCCUPATIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION <br />TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 34-51.4, PERMITTED HOME <br />OCCUPATIONS" BY ADDING SUBSECTION "I. BED AND BREAKFAST <br />FACILITY PROVIDED THAT:"; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into <br />several zoning districts, and regulates the uses to which the <br />premises located therein may be put; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section <br />Occupations"; and <br /> <br />34-51.4 provides for "Permitted Home <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission in a meeting held at the <br />City Hall on March 26, 1997, at 7:30 p.m. recommended an amendment <br />of Section 34-51.4 of the University City Zoning Code by adding <br />subsection "i. Bed and Breakfast Facility" to Section 34-51.4; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City <br />Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 7:30 p.m., <br />June 9, 1997, was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a <br />newspaper of general circulation within said City on May 17, 1997; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place <br />specified in said notice, and all suggestions or objections <br />concerning said amendment were duly heard and considered by the <br />Council; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City, Missouri, relating to zoning is hereby amended by <br />repealing Section 34-51.4 thereof, relating to Home Occupations, <br />and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section <br />34-51.4, Permitted Home Occupations," relating to the same subject, <br />and re-enacting said section so that said section, as so amended, <br />shall read as follows: <br /> <br />34-51.4 Permitted home occupations. <br /> <br />Customary home occupations include, but are not limited <br />to, the following list of occupations; provided, however, <br />that each listed occupation shall be subject to the <br />limitations of Section 34-54.3: <br /> <br />a.
