BILL NO. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-127 THEREOF, RELATING TO <br />PARKING OF TRUCKS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES, AND ENACTING IN <br />LIEU THEREOF, A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-127. <br />PARKING TRUCKS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES PROHIBITED; <br />EXCEPTIONS;" BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO GRANT WAiVERS OF CERTAiN REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />THE ISSUANCE OF TRUCK PERMIT PARKING STICKERS; CONTAINING A <br />SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY TItE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to <br />motor vehicles and traffic, is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-127 thereof, relating to <br />parking of tracks and commercial vehicles, and enacting in lieu thereof, a new section to be known <br />as "Section 21-127. Parking trucks and commercial vehicles prohibited; exceptions;" so as to <br />authorize the City Manager to grant waivers of certain requirements for the issuance of truck permit <br />parking stickers; so that said section, as so an~cnded, shall read as follows: <br /> <br />21-127 Parking Trucks and Commercial Vehicles Prohibited: Exceptions <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful to park any bus or truck larger than six thousand pounds (6,000 <br />lbs.) gross vehicle weight on any street or in any alley other than the streets and <br />places named hcrcin, except for the purpose of collecting or delivering goods or <br />articles in the immediate vicinity or for the purpose of providing business services <br />relating to premises in the immediate vicinity: <br /> <br />Bartruer Industrial Drive, from Sutter Avenue to the east City Illnits. <br /> <br />East Industrial Drive, fi'om Olive Boulevard to Bartmet Industrial Drive~ <br /> <br />Maple Avenue, fi-om Sutter Avenue to the east city limits. <br /> <br />Olive 13oulevard, fi'om Sutter Avenue to the cast city limits. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />It shall be unlawfifi to park or store any truck or commercial vehicle on any street or <br />in any alley on any day oftlie week betxveen the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Notxvithstanding paragraph (b), a truck displaying current state license plates <br />lawfully issued to it for six thousand pounds (6,000 lbs.) gross vehicle weight may <br />be parked on a street or in an alley where otherwise permitted on any day of the <br />week, provided: <br /> <br /> <br />
