BILL NO. ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, RELATING TO ZONING, BY REPEALING THAT PART OF SECTION 34-94.2 THEREOF WHICH RELATES TO MINIMUM PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR APARTMENT DWELLINGS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW PART OF SECTION 34-94.2 WHICH RELATES TO MINIMUM PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR APARTMENT DWELLINGS, THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO CHANGE THE MINIMUM PARKING REQUIREMENT FOR APARTMENT DWELLINGS WITH SIX (6) OR MORE DWELLING UNITS; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri (Zoning Code) divides the City of University City (City) into several zoning districts, and regulates the character of buildings which may be erected in said districts, and the uses to which the buildings and premises located therein may be put; and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission examined an amendment of Section 34-94.2 thereof changing the minimum parking requirement for apartment dwellings with six (6) or more dwelling units; WHEREAS, the Plan Commission, in a meeting held at City Hall on January 28, 1998, at 7:30 p.m., approved said amendment of the Zoning Code and recommended to the City Council that it be enacted into an ordinance; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public heating to be held by the City Comncil in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on March 16, 1998, at 7:30 p.m., was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, on February 27, 1998; and WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all suggestions or objections concerning said amendment were duly heard and considered by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, relating to zoning, is hereby amended by repealing that part of Section 34-94.2 thereof which relates to minimum parking requirements for apartment dwellings, and enacting in lieu thereof a new part of Section 34-94.2 which relates to minimum parking requirements for apartment dwellings, thereby amending said section so as to change the minimum parking requirement for apartment dwellings with six (6) or more dwelling units; so that said part of Section 34-94.2, as so amended, shall read as follows:
