The
easements are necessary as a result of the extension of the Skinker-McCausland Tunnel. The
location and work at each site are as follows:

Southeast comer of Vernon and Pennsylvania - Requires an easement for about 360 feet
along Vernon Avenue from Pennsylvania the full depth of the lot, which is about 128 feet.
This is about one half the area of the lot. (See Easement Plat Exhibit "A," drawing
8035E01.dwg) At this location a temporary construction shaft will be built over the
proposed tunnel. The temporary shaft will be 21 feet in diameter and will be used for
about 10 months. The final visible structure will be two standard MSD manhole covers at
grade where the temporary shaft was located.

Southwest comer of Vernon and Pennsylvania- Requires an easement for the permanent
78" Diameter tunnel. No structure will be visible from the surface. The tunnel is
approximately 70 feet deep, under the property (See Easement Plat Exhibit "A," drawing
8035E02.dwg).

o

Heman Park along Vernon between Pennsylvania and Midland- At this location a 30
foot wide and 30 feet long easement is needed to provide a permanent manhole. This
manhole would be used to bring a pipe across Vernon Avenue from a 30" line on the
south side of the street, to connect to the 78" tunnel. There would be a temporary pit for
